What the app stores, and where

Bubl Timer keeps the following on your device, in the app's local storage, with a copy in your own iCloud account if your iPhone uses iCloud:

• Which timers are running and when they end.
• Your history of timer starts, with their time and whether they ran to the end.
• Bubbles you create: their symbol, colour, duration and fill style.
• Layout and display preferences, such as the chosen view and the order of your bubbles.
• Your choices in Settings, such as sound, haptics and the Lock Screen countdown.
• A snapshot of the running timers in the app's own container on the device, which the Home Screen widget and the Lock Screen countdown read. It holds each bubble's symbol, colour and end time.

If your iPhone uses iCloud, the same data is kept in your own iCloud account (Apple's key-value storage) so it comes back on a new phone or after a reinstall, and it appears on any other device signed into the same Apple Account. We cannot reach it. The copy in your iCloud stays until you use Delete everything in the app (reinstall it if needed); iOS has no separate switch for this data. Beyond that, nothing leaves your device: there are no accounts of ours, no sign-in, no servers of ours, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party SDKs.

Everything above is kept on your device, and in your own iCloud if enabled, until you clear or delete it; nothing expires on its own.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app schedules a local alert on your device for the moment a timer ends. Notifications are generated on the device and are not sent through any remote service. You can decline or revoke this permission in Settings at any time and the app keeps working without it.

Haptics and screen

Haptic feedback is used across the app and the Keep screen awake option keeps the display on while a timer runs. Neither involves any data, and both can be turned off in Settings.

Deleting your data

You can clear any bubble's history, or all history, from the history sheet inside the app. Delete everything in Settings removes all bubbles, history and running timers, including the copy in your iCloud. Deleting the app removes everything it stored on the device.

What the app is, and is not

Bubl Timer is an interval timer with a history. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical or health advice. Any intervals are set by you.

Bubl Pro

Bubl Pro is an optional one-time purchase made through Apple's in-app purchase system. Apple handles the payment and keeps the receipt; the app only learns whether Pro is unlocked on this device. We never see your name, payment details or Apple ID, and nothing about the purchase is sent to us. If you reinstall or change phones, the purchase comes back through your Apple account, and “Restore purchases” in the Bubl Pro sheet asks Apple again. Refunds are handled by Apple.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone.

QR codes and tracking links on this website

This section is about bubltimer.app, the website, not the app. Some of our printed material (flyers, posters, business cards) carries a QR code that opens a short link on this site, such as bubltimer.app/q/xxxxxxx, which then forwards you to a page we chose for that campaign, usually Bubl Timer's App Store page or a TestFlight invitation. When such a link is opened, the site records:

• The time of the request and which printed campaign the link belongs to.
• Broad categories read from the browser's request: phone, tablet or desktop; the operating-system family (for example iOS or Android); and the browser family (for example Safari or Chrome).
• An approximate location (country, region, city) that our hosting provider, Vercel, derives from the network address. It is often missing or imprecise.

The site does not store your IP address, does not store the full browser identification string, sets no cookie, and does not fingerprint or identify you. A scrambled (hashed) form of your network address is held for up to a minute to limit repeated requests, then discarded. Our hosting provider, Vercel, keeps ordinary server logs for a short period to run the service. The site cannot tell whether you later installed the app. Requests that look like automated crawlers or link previews are set aside. The records are kept in a hosted database run by Upstash. Detailed records are deleted after 90 days; only daily totals per campaign are kept after that. We use these counts solely to see which printed material works. None of this applies inside the Bubl Timer app, which sends nothing anywhere.

No other party collects information about your activity on this site or across other websites through this site. We process the records above on the basis of our legitimate interest in running the site securely and seeing which printed material works; visitors outside the United States have the same rights described here and can write to us at the address below.

If you email us

If you write to support@bubltimer.app we receive your email address, what you write, and the iPhone model or app version you give us. The Support button in the app adds a few diagnostic lines under “---” (the app version, a note about the last unexpected reload, and recent error messages without personal details); you can delete them before sending. We use this only to answer you and to keep track of what people ask for, and we may note your name, your address and what you wrote in a private list kept in this site's database. We keep messages and notes only as long as they are useful for that, and delete them on request at the same address. Because neither the app nor this site keeps anything else that identifies you, what you sent us is the only record we could hold about you.

Changes and contact

Bubl Timer and this website are published by FEEL THE ENERGY LLC, a California limited liability company in San Francisco. If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new date. Questions: support@bubltimer.app.
